Once considered one of the greatest prospects in the sport, Aaron Pico has quickly become one of the most exciting fighters on the planet. The hard-hitting featherweight has won nine of his last ten bouts, last scoring a knockout win over Henry Corrales last February.

He was last seen in the cage at the PFL vs. Bellator event last February, scoring a first-round knockout win over Henry Corrales. While Aaron Pico hoped to book a title fight against Patricio Pitbull next, that bout never came to fruition.

A former collegiate wrestler, Aaron Pico quickly caught the attention of the MMA world. However, the featherweight was famously upset by Zach Freeman in his first fight back in 2017. The defeat was just the first of three losses Pico would suffer in the first two years of his career.

At just 20 years old, Aaron Pico made his professional debut on the Bellator 180 main card in June 2017. Despite a lot of pre-fight hype, Zach Freeman wound up scoring a first-round submission win over the prospect.

Bellator fighter Aaron Pico has shared some advice with young prospects as he prepares to return to the cage. This weekend, Aaron Pico will return to action when he locks horns with Pedro Carvalho at Bellator 299 in Dublin. He’s currently on a 7-1 run, with the one defeat in question coming via shoulder injury against Jeremy Kennedy. Prior to that, however, he began his career in less than ideal circumstances.

Bellator featherweight contender Aaron Pico has provided an update after his brutal injury on Saturday. At Bellator 286 last weekend, the 26-year-old returned to the cage to face Jeremy Kennedy. Prior to the bout, champion Patricio Pitbull stated he would fight Pico if defeated the UFC veteran. Sadly, that title shot won’t be happening anytime soon.

Pico entered the fight on a two-fight winning streak after submitting Solo Hatley Jr. in July and knocking out Daniel Carey in January. Pico has been considered one of the top prospects in MMA, but lost his pro debut and then suffered back-to-back KO losses to Henry Corrales and Adam Borics.

At the age of 22, Pico has a record of 4-3 and he’s been stopped in all of his losses. In his last two outings, Pico was brutally knocked out by Henry Corrales and Adam Borics.

After losing his pro debut, Aaron Pico won four straight fights and then took a step up in competition as he took on Henry Corrales. Although he dropped Corrales early, Pico ended up getting knocked out later in the first round. The loss resulted in another camp change as the 22-year-old went to JacksonWink MMA. Pico then took on Adam Borics at Bellator 222. There, the prospect started to use his wrestling, but after shooting for a takedown in the second round, Borics went for a flying knee that connected and dropped Pico. He was later finished via ground and pound and his record dropped to 4-3.

There, the 22-year-old was looking to get back into the win column after being knocked out to Henry Corrales back in January. Aaron Pico was also fighting under Greg Jackson for the first time, and ahead of the fight, he said he is a brand new fighter and couldn’t wait to showcase his talents. He said he planned on using his wrestling which he did and knew how important a win was.
